Transmissions / Volume One

A Random Spectacular project, co-published/released with our record label Blackford Hill.

Music has always been close to our hearts, and it's the audio-related projects published via Random Spectacular that encouraged us to set up this new record label.

Transmissions / Volume One is a double CD compilation featuring 31-tracks by musicians whose work we admire. You can listen to the music here.

When thinking about how the music would be presented physically, it was natural to consider the work of our good friend, the printmaker Peter Green. We always think about rhythm when looking at Peter’s work.

We hope to reprint our previous book dedicated to Peter's work later this year, but in the meantime, the hardback book that accompanies Transmissions / Volume One features twenty-five of Peter's prints reproduced in full-colour (only three of these have already been published in our previous book).
