UK illustrator John Broadley’s new print collaboration with Penfold Press is, amazingly, his first venture into the world of print. The result, the first in an ongoing series looking at different traditional crafts, is a beautifully depicted image of lobster pots being woven on an imagined harbour side. With its influence of the School Prints evident in its trompe l'oeil boarder, the print is as considered, intricate and humorous as any of his fine body of work.
This limited edition print is signed and numbered by the artist.
ABOUT OUR ORIGINAL PRINTS
Most of the works we offer are original prints, made using traditional printmaking techniques such as linocut, wood engraving, lithography, screenprint and etching. Each process has its own particular character, from the carved marks of relief printing to the drawn or painterly qualities of lithography and screenprint.
You can read more about the different printmaking methods in our guide to print mediums.
