We’re pleased to share our growing collection of original limited edition prints by leading British artists and printmakers. Available through our online gallery and regular exhibitions across the UK, these works represent some of the finest examples of contemporary British printmaking.

So what is an original artist’s print?

At its simplest, an original print is an artwork that has been created specifically for a printmaking process and printed by the artist, or under the artist’s direct supervision. Unlike a reproduction or poster, the image is conceived for the medium itself.

The artist will create an image on a block, stone, plate or screen from which the final print is produced. They will choose the paper, determine the edition size and oversee the printing process. Once printed, each work is usually numbered and signed by the artist.

Our collection includes original linocuts, wood engravings, lithographs, screenprints, woodcuts and monoprints by artists including Angie Lewin, Mark Hearld, Emily Sutton, Christopher Brown and many others.
