Born in 1979, Adam Bridgland studied printmaking at Norwich School of Art & Design and then studied at the Royal College of Art (MA Fine Art Printmaking)
Adam embraces the everyday object finding inspiration from the colouring book image, travel guidebooks, and scout camping paraphernalia. Kitsch and humorous, yet equally poignant, Adam’s work rejoices in the mundane and is an investigation of the notion that holiday-making is just another ordinary everyday activity and that the holiday is essentially a fantasy that rarely lives up to our expectations.
Since graduating from his Masters at the Royal College of Art in 2004, Adam has lived and worked as an artist in London.
Adam Bridgland’s work is held in a number of collections including The British Museum Prints and Drawings Collection, AEA Investors LLC, UBS, The V & A, Boeing Asia, HBOS, The De La Warr Pavilion Bexhill on Sea, The Royal College of Art, The BBC and various private collections across Europe and the United States.
