Jonathan Lloyd

Jonathan Lloyd graduated from Maidstone College of Art in 1986. A move North in 2004 marked the end of a 10 year career as an ice sculptor in London and a full return to painting and printmaking.

"If there is a recurring theme in my work it is looking through things; through trees, through figures and through the surface. I like pictorial mechanisms that move the viewer's gaze both emphatically and subtly; springs and arrows, snakes and ladders."
